Ich hätte eine Geburtskiste, der Höhle, vorgezogen. Die Kiste hätte man reinigen können.

Dear Ludmila, I think that it is often very difficult to take the right position and decision for all circumstances. Either a zoo is deciding on interfering in any case and situation (and in this case, I do not know whether hand-rearing would have been an option because we do not know the real cause of the disease and I refuse to rely on what the newspaper is writing) or trying to create a world as close as can be to their natural habitat (and then, such things can happen). For me, it is always hard to understand that a baby of whatever kind was carried by the mother during the entire pregnancy period, was born in a natural manner and then failed to survive. But at least, the little one did not have to suffer. And I hope and wish that all five others will do fine.

Das ist traurig, passiert aber leider immer wieder und das nicht nur in Zoos.

danke für Deinen traurigen Beitrag. Mama Wolf hat sich liebevoll von dem Kleinen verabschiedet. Schlimmer finde ich es, wenn ein Tier nur kurze Zeit auf der Erde verweilt, weil es sehr krank ist und unter starken Schmerzen leidet.
