Knuti's Weekly and Knutitis Forum have always followed the big sports events with great interest. This year it's time for the Football World Championship again.

Why don't we start with some flashbacks of the previous games? Here we go:

Euro 2008 in Switzerland/Austria - Winner: Spain

Doesn't the mascot 08 look familiar? Oh yes, it's our Knuti!



Our dear bear was even the super star of the German Team.



WC 2010 in South Africa - Winner: Spain

Here Knut is giving some very valuable advice to Jogi Löw. :-)



I guess we all remember the sound of the thousands of vuvuzelas .....



Euro 2012 in Poland/ Ukraine - Winner: Spain

Even this year Germany had lots of supporters - both two and four legged!





WC 2014 in Brazil - Winner: Germany

Lale was well prepared!



What we remember most of this tournament was the game Germany vs Brazil. We had many reasons to scream 'Tooooor'!



Euro 2016 in France - Winner: Portugal

Fiete was the super supporter during these games.



Sweet Hope was cheering France but maybe this year she'll be saying 'Heja Sverige' .....



Fiete had several supporter outfits - I think this one is one of the best. :-)



WC 2018 in Russia - Winner: May the best team win!

Football stadiums in many Russian cities can witness first class football.



Chaarchana in St Petersburg welcome the football teams and their fans.



Because this is Knuti's Weekly Magazine it's natural that our 'home team' is Germany. Of course, we'll be cheering all the teams - when they're not meeting Jogi's Jungs. :-) :-) :-)

During every tournament Jogi has had white fluffy assisting coaches. This year Katjuscha offered her services which, of course, were gratefully accepted. Kati is an experienced football fan and knows the name of the game!! :-)



Many players of the German team come from Bayern München so, of course, Quintana is cheering them!



Unfortunately Finland didn't gualify to these games. That's why Sisu is cheering the team of a certain polar bear girl whose name begins with the letter 'Q'. When Sisu throws the ball to the young lady it will soon take a shape of a heart .....



Wolodja has been practising the supporter life so he's ready! :-)



Fiete lives now in Hungary but he hasn't abandoned his team!

Liebe Mervi,

vielen Dank für den liebevollen Einstieg zur WM. Viele Eisbären haben schon einige Turniere erlebt und - fast - immer Glück gebracht. Schade, dass Finland nicht dabei ist, aber ich hoffe, Sisu drückt Schweden und Deutschland die Pfoten. Ich wünsche auch dem schwedischen Team alles Gute und hoffe, dass es zusammen mit Deutschland weiterkommt, auch wenn beide Teams in derselben Gruppe spielen.

Herzlichen Dank für Deine wundervolle Ausarbeitung zur FIFA 2018 und die viele Mühe, solch eine tolle Geschichte mit Collagen zu versehen! Ich bewundere dieses Können gar sehr und bin sehr neidisch darauf, daß ich so was Großartiges nicht auch machen kann. Aber glücklicherweise gibt es Dich, die so was mit sehr viel Liebe und großer Fantasie herstellen und uns alle hier damit erfeuen kann!

das ist wirklich ein wunderschöner Auftakt zur WM 2018, die ja inzwischen schon voll im Gang ist.
Ja, Knuti und Trainer Löw, das war ein tolles Gespann. Schön, dass Du diese wundervollen Collagen hier noch einmal zeigst.

Wenn Katjuscha dieses Jahr die Assistentin von Jogi ist, kann ja eigentlich nichts mehr schief gehen. Schauen wir mal. Aber sie muss schon mit "ihrer" Mannschaft noch ein Zahn zulegen, wenn es am morgigen Samstag mit einem Sieg klappen soll.
